8 Steps for Avoiding Holiday Weight Gain

#1. Track Your Food

Tracking your food is the number one rule on how to lose weight and eat better. Whatever you put into your mouth, keep track of it.

#2. Plan Your Holiday Meals Ahead

A food plan helps you enjoy those once-a-year holiday meals while staying on track. Choose which foods you’ll have. The key is to observe portion control especially when you’re eating those slices of ham, fruit cake and scoops of ice cream. #3. Watch Those Calories

Pay attention to how much calories you are consuming. Use a nutritional tracker so you know whether you’re right on track or way over your calorie range.

#4. Follow The Herbalife Holiday Meal Plan

Here’s how you can enjoy the feast without gaining a lot of weight:

For people who can’t keep up with their Formula 1 Shakes but still want to lose weight

  • Before Your Big Meal: Take 1/2 teaspoon of Tea Mix in 250 mL or less/more water (depending on the concentration you like).
  • After Your Big Meal: Take 5 caps of Herbal Aloe Concentrate in 250 mL or less/more water to flush out the bad stuff from your system.

Note: The progress will be slower as compared to following the meal plan completely.

  • 1 Hour Before Your Big Meal: Take 1 Formula 1 Shake (Make sure you take the shake at least 1 hour before the meal, otherwise it will cause you to gain weight)

The holiday is such a great excuse to take a break from exercising. But you’ve got to be more active during this time to burn off those calories. Go for a run. Brisk walk. Do crunches at home. It won’t hurt to add 10 minutes of high-intensity moves to your usual routine such as jumping jacks or high-knee running in place. Working out is a sure-fire way to keep you fit and this will be your ally during this season.
